QuicKutz Bday Cards

30 09 2008

One of the biggest purchases I’ve made in my scrap booking/card making life was a Revolution Die Cutting Machine from QuicKutz. I had been shopping for the right die cutter for some time, and finally took the “plunge.” I’ve been extremely happy with this machine since it is so easy to use and the die cuts are so consistently cute.

Although I made both of these cards awhile ago, I’m posting them now that the cards have been received.  Both were made with QuicKutz dies and embossed backgrounds. The colors of paper are actually the same, so you can see that the photography saga continues.

Hang in there…

This card design was inspired by ‘Hello Teacher’ from Cards Magazine (p.42 August).

To create the stitching around the edge I used Cutter Bee Piercing Bug to give me the guidelines for stitching. Since I don’t have a sewing machine I hand-stitched the card using yellow embroidery floss (took forever!).  I used a QuicKutz die and my Revolution to create the flower.
